Panel Lock Function
This feature prevents unauthorized users from changing settings made by the administrator. To limit access to the menu, changing the panel lock from the default option is suggested. But, you can select settings for individual print jobs together with the printer driver.
Enabling the Panel Lock
1. Press the Menu (Menu) button.
2. Press down the arrow button until System is highlighted, and then press the Set button (Establish ) button.
3. Press the arrow down button until Admin Menu is highlighted, and then press the Setup button (Establish ) button.
4. Press down the arrow until Secure Settings is highlighted, and then press the Setup button (Set) button.
5. Make sure Panel Lock is emphasized, and then press the Set button (Establish ) button.
6. Ensure that the Panel Lock Set is highlighted, then press the Setup button (Establish ) button.
7. Press down the arrow button until Enable is highlighted, then press the Set button (Set) button.
8. Press down the arrow until Change Password is emphasized, then press the Set button (Set) button.
9. Input the password, and then press the Set button (Set) button.
Be aware: The factory-default password is 0000.
Be aware: Should you lose or forget the password which you have set, turn off and turn on the printer when pressing the Menu (Menu) button to reset the password.
